The German-Specific Process
Germany is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. The apostille is issued by state-level authorities - typically the Bezirksregierung in the relevant state. German notaries (Notare) are fully qualified to notarize the Power of Attorney.

Draft the POA with correct language
Use the MoraLá template. The POA must explicitly authorize CPF registration with the Receita Federal - generic Vollmacht wording is not sufficient.

Notarize at a German Notar
Visit a German Notar (notar.de) with your valid German passport. Standard notarization of a POA typically costs EUR 20-80 depending on the document value. The Notar will prepare and notarize the document.

Get the Apostille from the Bezirksregierung
Submit the notarized document to the responsible Bezirksregierung or Landesoberbehörde for your state. Processing: 1-5 business days in most states. Fees: EUR 10-30 typically.

Get a certified Portuguese translation
A tradutor juramentado registered in Brazil must translate the POA. This can run in parallel with the apostille process.

Submit to Receita Federal
Your representative in Brazil submits the complete package. Processing: 5-14 business days.
