What is a Power of Attorney for CPF?
A Power of Attorney (Procuração) authorizes another person to act on your behalf. For CPF registration, it authorizes them to submit your application to the Receita Federal, sign documents and receive your CPF confirmation. This is the official remote application method - not a workaround.

Required POA Wording
The single most common cause of CPF rejection is incorrect or incomplete supporting documentation - such as a POA that does not explicitly authorize CPF registration. The document must specifically name "registration with the Receita Federal" and "CPF enrollment" as authorized acts.
Critical: A general POA stating "I authorize [name] to act on my behalf in Brazil" is not sufficient. The CPF registration authority must be explicitly named.
